Howdy!
I hope you all are having a nice week.
I wanted to share a new addition to my content for mindful consumption list (which you can now find here!)
Recently, in an attempt to shift myself away from my dependence on T.V., I have taken another attempt at podcasts. It was through my search for the right show that lead me to starting The Retrievals, a podcast by a leader in investigative podcasts, Serial Productions.
The podcast explores the case of a nurse had been replacing her office’s fentanyl supply with saline, leaving many patients to suffer through treatments with no sedation, and the complexities of the shocking case; one that is emblematic of the systemic issues around medical gas-lighting, dismissal of women’s pain, addiction, and the way women learn to deny their own intuitions, despite all evidence to the contrary.
You can read the description here:
“Dozens of women seeking to become mothers came to a fertility clinic at Yale. A (five-part) narrative series about the shocking events that unfolded there. From Serial Productions and The New York Times.”
